Explore Singapore’s hidden gems, test your trivia knowledge, have a hearty chat with special guest Education Minister Chan Chun Sing over kopi, and stay tuned as Health Minister Ong Ye Kung whips up something special for the occasion 😉

Get groovy in a virtual dance

If you’re away from home and are looking for a way to celebrate with other Singaporeans, Dance of the Nation is back again!

Sabo your friends and family and stand a chance for your video to be featured on NDP’s social media platforms. It would be lovely to see our fellow Singaporeans and friends from all corners of the globe coming together to sing and dance.

4

Catch the parade live

Don’t want to miss the fireworks and spectacular performances? We’ve got you. Every year, NDPeeps will broadcast a live stream of the parade in full, crisp HD on YouTube and Facebook.

The theme for 2023’s National Day Parade is ‘Onward as One’, inspired by our feelings of hope, optimism and gratitude as we emerge from a challenging period and move forward as one people.

Don’t miss the special aerial display by the Republic of Singapore Air Force, plus a heartwarming show segment featuring 43 artists, a 2,400-strong contingent, and three short films.

We’re going to guess you’ll either cry a little bit or wave your mini flags really hard.

5

Organise fun games for friends & family

For the ones who can’t join the main party at the Padang, don’t worry. We have lots of fun activities for you to participate in, no matter where you are.

Rope in your loved ones for a game of brain-melting trivia, get crafty with DIY finger puppets and a charming diorama, belt your heart out to your favourite National Day tunes, or cook your favourite Singaporean dishes.

6

Dine with your loved ones

An iconic National Day celebration isn’t complete without a feast. After all, isn’t food what ties all Singaporeans together? 🤭

Head over to restaurants like The Landing Point, Braci and Level 33, where you’ll be able to dine with a stunning, unrestricted view of the city and the fireworks. For those celebrating in bigger groups, why not organise a potluck? Bring your favourite food from hawkers that you swear by. The more the merrier, and the fuller the stomach at the end of the celebration. 😋

Are you abroad and longing for a fix of Singaporean food? Don’t worry. Check out our global food map to find all of your favourites – wherever you are, you will never be too distant from a taste of home.

7

GetActive! Singapore Heartland Festivals

Didn’t manage to snag NDP tickets but still want to experience the festivities? In collaboration with SportSG, a 2-day celebration (5 to 6 Aug) will be held at 5 different locations across the island: Tampines, Bedok, Jurong West, Toa Payoh and Woodlands.

Bring your family and friends down to enjoy a wide range of activities at the festivals. There are sports tryouts, live performances, games and goodie bags! Oh, and did we mention? Admission is absolutely free.

8

Gardens by the Bay x Mediacorp National Day Concert

Here’s another big bash – one that’s happening at Gardens by the Bay. Think of it as a pre-concert leading up to the actual celebration so you can prepare to cheer your lungs out.

For the first time in four years, the concert returns on 5 Aug at The Meadow, the Gardens’ largest event space. Hosted by Fauzie Laily and Vernetta Lopez, the lineup features Kit Chan performing her classic song “Home” as well as a multitude of other local musicians. Planning to beat the crowd? Check out the carnival before the show, where you’ll find games and Insta-worthy spots that feature iconic Singapore landmarks. 😉
